Robin Esrock is an internationally recognized travel personality on TV, in print, on stage and online.    His articles have appeared in over a dozen major publications including The Chicago Tribune, The Guardian, The Toronto Star, Sydney Morning Herald, South China Morning Post, Dubai Gulf News, Cape Town Argus, and National Geographic Traveler. 

A former columnist for The Globe and Mail, MSN, Outpost, and Vancouver Sun, Robin is the creator and co-host of WORD Travels, a 40-part television series syndicated on National Geographic and Travel Channel International worldwide in over 20 languages.  The show has also been broadcast on OLN, CityTV, PBS, Hulu, Tubi, MTV Scandinavia, and Prime Video.

Robin is the international bestselling author of eight books, including The Great Canadian Bucket List, The Great Global Bucket List, 75 Places to Take the Kids (before they don’t want to go) and The Great Australian Bucket List.      

He has been featured as a ‘bucket list’ travel expert by 60 Minutes (CBS), Travel and Leisure, The Wall Street Journal, CBC, CTV, ABC, CNN, Men’s Health, Yahoo, and many others.  A Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society, Robin is an award-winning videographer, and a recognized pioneer of digital media, having edited online publications for the BBC, Reuters and News Corp in the mid-1990s. He currently writes a travel column for Canadian Geographic, freelances for various publications, edits four blogs, and serves as a Canadian Geographic Travel Ambassador. 

Robin has spoken about the joys of travel at dozens of events around the world, for clients including Deloitte, Tourism New Zealand, VRBO, Ford Motors, the Food Bloggers Association of Canada, REMAX, Scotiabank, Royal Bank, Destination BC, YVR and Fidelity. His TEDx talk about what travel can teach us has over one million views.  Having reported from more than 120 countries on 7 continents, he continues to share his unique adventures with an inspired audience of all ages.  

Born and raised in South Africa, Robin lives in Vancouver with his wife and children.
