On a dark and misty night, I  journey into the haunted history of the Halifax Citadel. With a flickering lantern in hand, I shuffle warily along the historic fortress’s dimly lit passageways into shadowy inner chambers. And then, descend flagstone steps and navigate dark tunnels to the subterranean, airless cells that once housed hapless prisoners.
