Yves Ouellet has worked as a journalist for more than 30 years, and the greater part of his career has been devoted to promoting the knowledge and appreciation of the regions of Quebec and Canada. Author of numerous respected works and travel guides, he also writes for the travel section of several newspapers and magazines. A lover of history and the outdoors, his approach is characterized by curiosity, emotion and wonder. Through meticulous research, he has created in is writings some multifaceted portraits of Quebec’s region, canadian provinces and a large number of countries all around the world.
Winner of the TMAC annual grand prize for Best story in French in 2009 and 2013.
Yves contribute regularly to the most important newspapers in Québec and their websites: Le Devoir, Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec plus some outdoor magazines, especialy Camping Caravaning and Quebec Camping Federation's blog.
Yves is involved in the snowmobiling industry since 28 years, collaborating for the Quebec snowmobile federation magazine, Motoneige Québec. He is now the editor in chief of the magazine. He also published 27 coffee table books and travel guides and nearly 3500 stories in magazines and websites.
