I write with my husband, John Nowlan, about food, adventure travel, cruising, culture, history and multigenerational travel.  We have travelled to over 120 countries and all 7 continents.

We have been published in Dreamscapes, Zoomer, Porthole Cruise Magazine, Hamilton Spectator, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Saltwire Network, Saint John Telegraph Journal, Moncton Times and Transcript, Cruise Report, More Time to Travel and Never Stop Traveling

Before becoming a travel writer, I had careers as a food scientist and teacher. I have published scientific papers and written two low salt cookbooks for people with high blood pressure: Delicious DASH Flavours and Low salt DASH Dinners

Because of my interest in food and wine I became a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers  and Slow Food. I volunteer as a Governor of the Nova Scotia Museum and a member of the Advisory Council on Heritage Properties in Nova Scotia.
