Melody Wren has been published in Fodor's, Reader's Digest U.S., Reader's Digest UK, Vancouver Sun, Dreamscapes Magazine, Active Over 50 Magazine, Inspired Seniors The Independent, Canadian Traveller, CAA , NBC News, Explore Magazine, World Nomads, Far and Wide Magazine, Toronto Star, Caribbean Beat Magazine,We Explore Canada, Arctic Research Focus and Wander Magazine.

She considers her age (over 60) a gift in her travels. She brings wisdom, experience and a major 'if not now, when' attitude with heavy lashings of humour, required in any type of travel.

She is a wanderer driven by an insatiable curiosity. She has glacier trekked in the Canadian Arctic while Muskox looked on, danced around a fire in Kenya with the Samburu tribe and learned how to make the perfect tiramisu in Florence.

She writes about experiential adventure travel for the active over 50 travellers. She embraces outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding, ziplining and snowshoeing. Immersing herself in history and culture allows her to grasp the essence of a destination. Local markets are a magnet for her.

She loves connecting with local people and making it a point to give back to the community. She fully supports the “Pack for a Purpose” philosophy and regularly fills a suitcase with school or medical needs and handmade teddy bears.

She is a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC), Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) , Society for American Travel Writers (SATW) and Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance (OCTA).
