Armed with an International Relations degree from the University of Calgary, Melissa Vroon traveled the globe studying, working and volunteering in more than 40 countries before she and her husband decided to make Calgary their preferred city to raise their two children.

Frustrated by the endless mish-mash of bits and pieces of information on family recreation around Calgary,  Melissa and Voula Martin started www.familyfuncalgary.com in 2008.  It was designed to be a one stop resource for community events and activities for Calgary families.

Today, Melissa and her editorial team have expanded to Edmonton, Halifax, Saskatoon, Toronto, Vancouver and their travel site, www.FamilyFunCanada.com.
