I’ve worked full-time in media since graduating in 1984.

After freelancing for CBC Radio in Fredericton for two years while finishing my BBA, I worked in weekly newspaper for six months, community radio for five years, then daily newspaper for 8 years.

I began freelancing for magazines, newspapers, radio, and the web in 1999. In addition to my writing/photography, I worked two communications contracts for the Alberta Wilderness Association and did a bit of communications consulting for Ducks Unlimited Canada.

With the explosion of social media, I added social media management to my repertoire in 2015. I’ve managed accounts for an accounting firm, a marketing company, a software/consulting company and a U.S.-based adventure travel company.

I occasionally produce videos to supplement my print/online writing.
