After six years of travel writing 100s of articles for Washington Post, San Diego Tribune, Brisbane Courier Mail and others, as well as a bestselling wildlife viewing book Pelicans to Polar Bears, in the 90s, I started a full time corporate and entrepreneurial career in the travel industry from 2001 to 2021. I shared Canada’s wildlife, Indigenous experiences and remote, northern treasures to travel media from around the world. After 20 wonderful years, I returned to writing in 2021, and write exclusively for destination clients, editorial outlets (Explore, Travel Life, OFFSHORE Travel Magazine, Style Manitoba, Go World Travel) and Wild Trips Await, my own travel site. I focus primarily on slow travel and human powered activities in beautiful places, but am also very keen on wildlife viewing, remote places and Indigenous and culinary experiences.
