Join us for a special snowshoe hike in the Foothills!
Arrive at Rollick Co., the conservation-minded outdoor, bike and fishing shop, in Black Diamond, for an introduction to the Foothills, outdoor bonfire, hot chocolate and to pick up your snowshoes. You may also wish to arrive earlier, perhaps for lunch at The Westwood, Silver Fern Bakery, Kaisers Cakery (German Bakery) or Marv’s Soda Shop.
Next, we’ll journey west for 15 minutes into Sheep River Provincial Park for a self-guided 60-75 min (5 km) afternoon snowshoe along High Noon Hills Circle Trail.
Snowshoes: A maximum of 10 pairs of snowshoes and poles are available for your use. If you have your own snowshoes and poles, please bring them with you. The snowshoes, bonfire and hot chocolate are provided by Rollick Co. co-owners Jessica & Colin Fleming.
Reminder: You are in the Foothills of the Rockies. Layer and dress for inclement weather and remember to bring water and practice social distancing as best as possible.
