Media Members

Media members include paid professional travel communicators such as travel writers (print and electronic), bloggers, editors, publishers, book authors, broadcasters, photographers, videographers and commercial web producers.

Membership in TMAC does not preclude membership in other organizations such as SATW or PWAC. Media members must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.

TMAC has a points-based system for assessing a member’s professional qualifications. It has been regularly revised to reflect the changing media marketplace and it allows writers to qualify for TMAC membership under a wide range of disciplines. Members must requalify every two years.

All members must abide by our Code of Conduct.

For further details about the Media Membership Application/Requalification please refer to the guidelines.

Industry Members

Industry members include representatives of tourist boards, airlines, hotel companies, public relations agencies, attractions, tour operators and wholesalers.

TMAC’s goal is to create a forum for communication and mutual benefit between industry and media members. Industry membership is not limited to Canadian companies or individuals, but foreign members must be willing to serve the needs of Canadian writers. In order to serve on TMAC's national board, you must be a resident of Canada.

All members must abide by our Code of Conduct (click here).
