On May 1 and 2, 2015, more than 30 TMAC members and guests gathered at Calgary's chic inner-city Hotel Arts for the annual Professional Development Weekend. Themed "Through A New Lens", the PD event struck a chord with all delegates, reminding us to broaden our perspectives, stay authentic, and become impeccable storytellers, through words and images.

Friday's sessions started off with the Calgary Herald's Tom Babin, who talked about his foray into book writing with Frostbike. This was followed up with an informative and candid panel featuring industry and media members "Powder" Matt Mosteller, Ryan "Mr. Fabulous" Massel, Banff's Jeff Mitchell, Kelly Doody and Ashley Meller. The group then convened in a workshop-style social media session.

The group was picked up by the Calgary Stampede trolley to head to Kurios by Cirque de Soleil, a spellbinding performance. Zen 8 Grill hosted a dinner-turned-Karaoke fest, showcasing the vocal talents of our crew!

Saturday's session started with a creative and delicious breakfast at Hotel Arts' Yellow Door Bistro, followed by an amazing "Zen" session with the talented Kim Wiebe. We were left in stitches with Julie Van Rosendaal's story telling, and mesmerized by Neil Zeller's captivating photography. A networking lunch gave us the chance to reminisce on our two days of inspiration.
